Hunter Hall Lodge is a unique building with rich history, located on James Island, South Carolina. The client wanted to create an open air loft but didn't want to close in the approximate 975 sqft of the second floor. So we removed some knee walls, added blown-in insulation, painted the floors and walls with some colors that lightened up the room greatly.
Client also wanted to go simple and timeless with the bathroom tile, entry door tile and cabinetry. So we utilized white subway tile with a grey grout in the bathroom. For the kitchen cabinets we went with white and then utilized shiplap on the walls that was stained classic grey. The Lodge's entryway has the same classic grey stained shiplap and we added the soda shop feel with the octagonal black and white tile. The combinations together maintain the James Island Lodge feel.
